How to Disable Video Autoplay Feature on Facebook

Facebook is one of the largest social networking sites on our Internet highway and every small change in it would fall in the eyes of billions of users. Recently Facebook has gone dark for a few minutes leaving billions of users in vain and some of the hardcore addicts were really pissed about that. If you ask me, the more annoying thing than the Facebook blackouts is its new “Video Autoplay Feature” which automatically plays the Facebook videos as you scroll over them.

Facebook has been constantly upgrading its looks and functionality to provide a better social networking experience to its users. In the past couple of years, many new features were introduced and we also noticed a frequent changeover in the website design every now and then. However, this new feature didn’t manage to impress many of the users but it did manage to annoy most of them (Including me). So, today we will see how to stop the videos from auto-playing in the Facebook app and web version as well.

Disable Video Autoplay Feature On Facebook Web

  1. Log in to your Facebook profile and click on the drop-down button at the extreme right corner of your Facebook timeline. Click on Settings from the drop-down list.
