American gaming hardware manufacturer Razer unveiled the new Razer Blade 15.6 gaming laptop. The Razer Blade 15.6 is an upgrade over the Razer Blade 14 gaming laptop the company released five years ago in 2013. It is considered to be an upgrade in the right direction as far as performance and design are concerned. The previous iteration was one of the lightest and slimmest gaming laptops available at its time. However, fast forward to 2018, Razer further slimmed down the chassis of the new 15.6 unit claiming it to be the smallest gaming system in its class.

Razer Blade 15.6 Specifications
Razer has not only refined the appearance of its new gaming laptop but also bumped up the specifications. The Razer Blade 15.6 comes in two flavors. The base model comes equipped with an Intel Core i7-8750H six cores processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 16GB of RAM, a 256GB PCIe SSD, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU with 6GB of VRAM, and a 1920 x 1080 (60Hz) display. The base model costs $1,899. If you are ready to shell out $2,899, you can get another variant that features a 4k display, 512GB PCIe SSD, an Nvidia GTX 1070 MaX-Q GPU aided by 8GB of VRAM Connectivity-wise, the Razor Blade 15.6 features a Thunderbolt 3 port, three USB 3.1 ports, HDMI 2.0, a headphone jack, a mini DisplayPort and a power input. Handling wireless communications onboard is a WIFI 802.11ac with 160MHz channel support, MU-MIMO 2×2:2, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Design and Display
Display-wise, Razer has managed to shave off the unsightly bezels around the display this time. Now, they have managed to fit a 15.6in display in a 14in chassis giving the laptop an almost bezel-less look and feel making it look even more premium than ever. Coming to the design of the new 15.6 Razer Blade is made out of amazing CNC aluminium and also the company is done with the rounded curves of the previous iteration instead of now appears to be going the boxy and sharp route.
