List of OnePlus Secret Codes and Hidden Settings

Secret codes can be used to access technical information and hidden features on Android devices. While some generic codes work on all Android devices, others work with specific brands only. For example, if you own a OnePlus device, the Samsung-specific secret codes might not work for you. In this post, we’ve compiled a list of OnePlus secret codes, hidden settings, and USSD codes. With these dialer codes, you can access a wide range of hidden settings, diagnostic tools, and technical information about your OnePlus device.

What we often refer to as Android secret codes are MMI and USSD codes. These dialer codes contain numeric values and are preceded and followed by special characters like asterisk (*) and hash (#). Since very few people are aware of these codes, they are often referred to as secret codes.

Difference between USSD and MMI Codes

USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) codes work universally on all devices using cellular networks. They communicate with mobile network operators’ computers in real-time and are used to enable and disable network-based services, get SIM and network-related information, and avail self-service options via menu-based information services. Some USSD codes are network-specific and they work with specific operators only.

MMI (Man Machine Interface) codes, on the other hand, are device-specific and don’t need a network connection to function. Some of them work on all smartphones (*#06, for example). However, many support a certain OS and device OEM. In the same way, some MMI codes are generic to all Android devices but some work only with specific smartphone brands. OnePlus Secret Codes and Hidden Settings

OnePlus is a smartphone manufacturer known for value-for-money devices. The company also has several secret codes and hidden settings that can be accessed by enterprising users using secret codes. Below, we’ll take a look at OnePlus secret codes and hidden settings like Engineering mode, battery test mode, service mode, and sensor test interface. The codes will also help you unlock new features, diagnose the hardware, and get key information about your OnePlus device.

Whether you own a OnePlus Nord, OnePlus 11, OnePlus 10T, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R, or OnePlus 8, you can use the secret codes listed below.

1 .OnePlus Engineering Mode Code

You can use *#36446337# on your phone’s dialer to access the Engineering mode on your OnePlus device. The mode is also known as Factory mode and can help you troubleshoot your device. If *#36446337# doesn’t work for you, you can try *#808# or *#888# (tested on Oneplus Nord CE2 Lite 5G) to enter the Engineering mode and *#899# to go to the after-sales support screen.

Under the Factory mode on your OnePlus device, you’ll find hidden settings to perform a network test, sensor test, audio test, Bluetooth test, Wi-Fi test, and NFC test. Apart from that, you’ll also get options to enter the Fastboot mode directly, wipe device data using the ‘all clear’ option, change charging settings, and so on.

The OnePlus secret codes to access the Engineering mode might not work on some devices. If that is the case with you, you can try the following hack to unlock the Factory mode.

  1. Dial *#06# on your OnePlus device. Long press the IMEI number to copy it.
  2. Go to one.andro.plus and select Unlock for 10 minutes or Unlock permanently.
  3. Then enter your IMEI number and click on the Convert option.
  4. Copy the code that you get.
  5. Now dial *#*#5646#*#* on your phone. When you see the barcode scan screen, go back and paste the code that you copied in Step 4 and tap OK.
  6. You’ll get a message saying “Decrypted successfully“. If you don’t, try the same procedure by selecting the Unlock for 10 minutes option.
  7.  When the Factory mode is decrypted, go to the dialer screen and type *#808# or *#36446337# to access the unlocked Engineering or Factory mode on your OnePlus phone.

4. Check the Software Version of OnePlus Devices

It’s easy to check the software version of a OnePlus device by navigating to Settings > About phone. However, there is another way to display the software version by dialing *#1234# or *#*#1234#*#*.

5. Code to Perform a Factory Reset

You can use *#*#7780#*#* to reset your phone to factory settings. In that process, it will remove device settings, Google account settings, installed apps and their data, and media files stored in the internal memory. The system apps and the files stored on the SD card will remain intact. You can also use *#*#947322243#*#* to wipe device data instantly. You must back up your data before using this code.

While *#*#7780#*#* warns you and asks for confirmation before it resets your device, using *2767*3855# will format your OnePlus phone as soon as you dial this code. All files, device configurations, and internal storage will be wiped. Be very careful while using it because once you type it, you won’t be able to cancel the process.

7. Check Phone and Battery Information

If you want to get technical information about your phone, you can use *#*#4636#*#*. Moreover, you’ll also get information about your phone’s battery and usage statistics. The screen will display the following items. You can tap a specific item to get detailed information.

9. Check the PDA, Phone, and CSC Version

If you have used a Samsung phone or tablet, you must be familiar with CSC (Consumer Software Customization). CSC contains region-based customizations. 10. Check the IMEI and MEID of OnePlus Devices

*#06# is the most commonly known dialer code that works on all mobile devices. Needless to say, it’s used to check the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) and MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) numbers of a mobile device. OnePlus devices support one more secret code for the purpose. You can dial *#66# to display the IMEI and MEID numbers of your OnePlus phone in an encrypted format.
