WhatsApp has been evolving new ways to make conversation secure to ensure privacy. It recently added the Chat Lock feature which lets you lock WhatsApp chats and now it even supports exporting conversations with media files in a secure and accessible format.

On WhatsApp for Android

Here is how to export your chats in WhatsApp for Android.

Install the WPS Office app from the Google Play Store.
Open WhatsApp on your device.
Open the chat you want to export, tap the 3-dot icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select More.
Now select the Export chat option.
A pop-up with two options namely Include media and Without media will appear. Select the option you prefer.
When the Android Share Menu appears, select WPS Office to export the chat to PDF. Otherwise, you can choose Gmail or any other emailing app. If you want to share or save the chat as a text file, you can either select My Drive. You can also select WhatsApp, tap the search icon, type “you” and share the file with yourself.
Anyway, in the WPS Office app, tap the Upload button.
When the text file is uploaded, open it, tap the Menu icon, and select the Export to PDF option.
Tap the Export to PDF button on the next screen.
Your WhatsApp will be saved as a PDF. You can now save it to WPS Cloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Evernote, Dropbox, or even on the device storage.
