5 Tips to Master The Art of Productivity With Evernote

Evernote is one of the best note-taking cross-platform app designed for creating a note which can be a piece of text, webpage, voice memo or handwritten note. It is a multi-platform app i.e. it works on platforms like Windows, Android, Chrome OS, OS X, iOS and provides services like online synchronization and backup services. Evernote is considered as one of the best productivity apps as it is flexible and can deal effectively with web clippings, images, PDFs, and audio files. It is the best way to carry your work with you as it is available across all the operating systems. The beauty of Evernote lies in the way you master the art of productivity and use it to deal with your workflow. Save Evernote Photos to Gallery

Photos that are present in your Evernote app can also be saved to your gallery. It is recommended that if these photos are not notes then you should save them to the gallery. Here’s how you can automatically save Evernote photos to the gallery:-

  1. Tap on the options menu.
  2. Click on Settings-> camera.
  3. There will be an option named “Save to photo gallery”. Tick it.

Change Default Sync Frequency

Whenever you take note it is automatically synchronized with other devices you are connected to and people with whom you share your documents. The sync frequency by default is 1 hour but can change it and set it according to your convenience. Here’s how to do it:-

  1. Tap on the options button.
  2. Head to settings.
  3. Click on sync and select the sync frequency from the options given. The options will be every 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, and 1 day. Choose the one which suits you the most.

Email Anything To Your Evernote Account

You may have wanted to save something from your email to your Evernote. Instead of doing it manually, there’s an easy way to do it. You can email anything to your Evernote account. Here’s how to do it:-

  1. Tap on the options button.
  2. Head to settings-> account info.
  3. There you will see your Evernote email address under the “Evernote Email” section.
  4. Just forward your email to this email address and the email will be added as notes.

Add Notes to Home Screen

You can add all your important notes to your home screen. This way you can open that note without opening the Evernote app. Just click on the note and the note will be opened. Here’s how to add notes to your home screen.

  1. Open the note you want to add to the home screen.
  2. Tap on the3 dots on the top-right side of the screen.
  3. Click on “Add to home screen”. The note will now be added to your home screen.

Change the default notebook

You can create more than one notebook in Evernote. The one which you use right from the beginning is your default notebook. However, you can change your default notebook. The notebook which you use frequently should be your default notebook. Here’s how to change the default notebook:-

  1. Tap on the options button.
  2. Head to Settings.
  3. Click on notebooks-> default personal notebook.
  4. Choose a notebook which you use frequently. This notebook will now be set as your default notebook. So whenever you will open Evernote, this notebook will appear at the top.
